How many cigs do you think Levin threw back on Sunday? I like Levin he got character which I will never say is a bad thing. I just thought it was hilarious to see him smoking cigarettes on every tee while he blew the biggest lead going into a final round in PGA tour history. I like him a lot more than Kyle Stanley, something about Stanley just seems off to me. He def should have cut Levin a check though.

He actually won a professional tournament on like the Chinese tour or something but he has zero pga tour wins, never really even contended in anything that matters yet people still say Rickie Fowler this and that. The flamboyant clothes and adds on golf channel that he is in is getting old real fast. Right now dude is so overrated.

If you ask a casual sportsfan to name as many LPGA players as they can they probably name only a few and Natalie Gulbis would be won of them. She has been on the LPGA tour forever and she has only one win. I understand she is trying to make money with her calenders, modeling and tv shows but this creates an illusion that she actually is one of the better players. She is not she is a marginal tour player at best. If she wasn't hot no one would have ever heard of her.

This is the kind of tour player that really pisses me off. He has tons of talent and could be like a superstar, he is viewed as a star on the PGA tour, only problem is he is not. He never and I mean never ever gets it done. He is good for like one win a year. He has made so much f'in money by coming in t7 20 times a year. He cried at the Ryder cup press conference after choking he blew the tour championship last year. Don't get me wrong he is good and a solid tour player but he is way overrated.

I just consider him to be such a tough competitor and someone quite honestly who has made the absolute most out of what he has. He has won 33 tournaments worldwide. He is just tough, that's the word I would use for him. He scratches and claws for everything. He was not blessed with incredible talent like other pretty boy golfers. He is just old school and goes after it. I really hope he wins a major soon. That's another reason why I like him so much he really should have maybe 2 possibly 3 majors by now. You can't help but root him him. Also he is an assassin in the Ryder Cup.

Every true golfer should have a tub or balls I am talking 500 - 1000 the more the better.  I use to literally I kid you not snorkel in the grosses pond you have ever seen putting my hand foot deep in the mud pulling out ball after ball.

You got to go to a local course.  Usually the nicer the better.  If it's raining that's perfect it's just got to be some sort of conditions where no one is golfing.  Then you just go to down.  You can pull out basically brand new balls from weeded area, wooded ares, thorn bushes.  It's a bounty out there.

How to get better

DONT EVER SPEND MONEY ON TRAINING AIDS/INSTRUCTIONAL VIDEOS/ANY KIND OF Bullshit GIMMICK
 (no matter how good it looks on TV at 3 AM)

The following are ways you can get better for free

1.) Watch videos on you-tube you would be surprised a lot of good information on you-tube... just search golf lessons or golf tips there is hundreds of videos some are garbage but a lot are very good from reputable teachers.

 

2.)  Stand in front of a mirror and take what swing thought you learned and put them into motion

3.)Find a local practice green that doesn't hassle you or charge for people to use it and just work on your short game.   If you can consistently get up and down... that is much better then hitting it 300 yards.

4.) Watch Golf Channel/ Watch pro tournaments

 5.) Play with golfers better than you

 Those were 5 free ways now if you want to spend a few bucks here is how you should spend.

1.) Proper equipment. Not expensive proper. Which includes 14 clubs that fit you. By fit I mean three things essentially. One length, two grip size and three shaft flexibility. Ideally if you are starting out you would like to have more forgiving clubs but that is not essential.
As for the 14 clubs generally you have a Putter, 2 woods, and 11 Irons. Sometimes 9 or 10 irons with hybrids.

2.) In person lessons by a PGA tour teaching pro. Nothing better for your game nothing better.
